Platinum selling country star, Hunter Hayes, will headline the sold-out CMT on Tour: Hunter Hayes Lets Be Crazy tour which kicks off this Thursday, October 10 in Knoxville, TN. With 24 shows in 21 cities, the three-time GRAMMY nominated artist entertained invited guests at Tennessee Performing Arts Center yesterday with a nearly two hour show that featured songs from his self-titled deluxe edition release, (Encore), which was recently certified Platinum by the RIAA. With three consecutive No. 1 singles and over seven million singles sold to date, Hunter has sold more singles than any solo debut country male since the inception of Soundscans singles chart. In addition, two of the Top 10 selling country singles of 2013 are currently held by Hunter with Wanted and I Want Crazy. President and CEO of Warner Music Nashville, John Esposito, commented that, Hunter is one of only four country artists in the past five years to have a platinum-selling debut album.
This tour is a dream come true for me and it is absolutely going be CRAZY! We called it the “Let’s Be Crazy” tour because that’s exactly what it is, said Hunter. Its crazy to get to headline some of the coolest buildings in the world, its crazy to get to play these songs, and I know you guys are going to be CRAZY!
